Bandana
Entertainment, LLC is an independent film production company headquartered in
Houston, Texas. Bandana has seven projects in various stages of
development, with Marrakech being Bandana's first feature length film.
HARRY BURRUS:
Born in Denver, Harry Burrus grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. As a tennis
pro in Des Moines, Iowa, he hosted his own television show, "Tennis Tips With
Harry Burrus." At one time, World Tennis Magazine ranked Harry and his
father number two in the United States in Father & Son Doubles. As a
teacher of creative writing, film, debate, and English and American literature
in Galesburg, Illinois, he created the Media Arts Festival that brought filmmakers, poets, actors, writers, painters, and photographers to Galesburg for a
week-long celebration of the arts which included presentations, workshops, and
seminars. During his tenure at Galesburg, he directed theatrical
productions. Harry has advanced degrees in Broadcasting and Film from the University of Iowa.
During film school, he wrote, produced, and directed 16mm films. Harry
also has a Master of
Fine Arts degree in writing, with a concentration on poetry, from Vermont College.
He had a one-man exhibition at Houston's International FotoFest in which dozens
of his photographs were displayed. His photographs and collages are in
private collections in this country and abroad. Some of his photographs
have been on the covers of collections of contemporary poetry. He has published
seven collections of poetry,
written a novel, five plays, and twelve screenplays. Harry Burrus is the editor-publisher of O!!Zone,
an international literary-art magazine.
MEGAN GABEL:
A native Chicagoan, Megan Gabel grew up in Highland Park, Illinois. She has a
teaching degree from the University of Illinois where she graduated as a
James Scholar with college honors. After moving to Houston, she worked her
way up to become vice president of a Houston steel fabricating company, handling
accounts payable, accounts receivables, purchasing, and production control.
Moving on to law school, Megan obtained a Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree
from the University of Houston, graduating cum laude. During law
school, she was a member of Phi Delta Phi Honorary Legal Fraternity; Order of
the Barons Scholastic Honor Society as well as Research Editor of the Houston
Law Review. She is the author and co-author of a number of legal articles
that have been published in magazines or law reviews with national distribution.
Megan's areas of practice include commercial and insurance litigation and contract
law.
Her law and business background bring to Bandana a self-sufficiency in areas critical to
the operation of a business.

JACK CREEL:
Jack has a B.A. in Business
from Rice University and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of
Houston. He has 15 years experience as an entertainment lawyer. In
addition to working in the entertainment industry, Jack has run several
companies and brings a no frills eye to budget and the bottom line.
